Fire Prevention Bureau

The Fire Prevention Bureau (FPB) is primarily responsible for enforcing all aspects of the Ohio Fire Code (OFC), which was adopted by the City of Wickliffe twenty-three years ago. The OFC addresses new and existing construction and operations. The FPB utilizes standards set by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) aCommercial-Fire-Alarm-Systems well as the Ohio Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).  The FPB enforces specifications for the installation of fire protection systems including, but not limited to, fire alarms, sprinklers, standpipes, fire hydrants, and fire lanes.  The Wickliffe Fire Prevention Bureau prides itself on fair and consistent enforcement of all the codes noted above.
