JOIN OUR TEAM THIS SUMMER, 2024!

Wickliffe Recreation Department will be seeking qualified

candidates to work at our Pools & Spray Park as LIFEGUARDS and POOL

ATTENDANTS for the Summer of 2024.

Lifeguards must have current lifeguard certification or be able to achieve

certification prior to first day. Seasonal full time and part time positions are

available. Employment available all ages; 15 to adults. 

Completed applications will be accepted at the Recreation Department office in Wickliffe City Hall until June 1, 2024.

POLICE OFFICER: NEW HIRES AND LATERAL ENTRY

  NEW HIRE APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Complete National Testing Network exam online:

  • Applicant must be a citizen of the United States
  • Have valid Ohio driver's license
  • Be 21 years of age and less than 35 years of age
  • Be a high school graduate or have obtained a GED certificate
  • Must pass TRI-C agility test at 50% within one year
  • Thorough background investigation including:
    • Oral interview and personal/work history
    • Background investigation
    • Psychological examination
    • CVSA truth verification
    • Interview with Chief of Police
    • Post Offer Medical exam/drug screen

  LATERAL TRANSFER APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Applicant must be a citizen of the United States
  • Have valid Ohio driver's license
  • Be 21 years of age and less than 37 years of age
  • Must be a high school graduate or have obtained a GED certificate
  • Must provide an Ohio Peace Officer Training Certificate; OPOTC certification must be current and up to date with all training requirements
  • Must have proof of 2 years of full time, uninterrupted police service
  • Must pass OPOTA fitness agility test at the 30% standard or provide a TRI-C agility test certification
  • Thorough background investigation including:
    • Oral interview and personal/work history
    • Background investigation
    • Psychological examination
    • CVSA truth verification
    • Written question exercise
    • Interview with Chief of Police
    • Post Offer Medical exam/drug screen
