Location & Access to Transportation

Location

The City of Wickliffe, encompassing 4.68 square miles, is located in Northeast Ohio in Lake County, at the eastern edge of Cuyahoga County.

Wickliffe is conveniently located with easy access to Downtown Cleveland (15 miles to the west) and to Painesville (the county seat, 10 miles to the east).

Road & Highway Access

The City's primary arterials are Euclid Avenue and Lakeland Boulevard. Both of these roadways are an east-west alignment, parallel to State Route 2.

There is easy access to the regional highway system including exits for both Interstate 90 and State Route 2, with connections to Interstates 271, 480, 80, 77, and 71.

Public Transit

Regional Transit Authority

Regional Transit Authority (RTA) links Wickliffe and western Lake County to Cuyahoga County and downtown Cleveland with a series of convenient bus routes.

Laketran

Laketran, Lake County's regional transit organization has bus routes throughout the city and county. It also provides "park-and-ride" lots that shuttle commuters to Downtown Cleveland as well as "dial-a-ride" services.

Aviation

Four airports are located within 30 miles:

  • Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
  • Burke Lakefront Airport
  • Cuyahoga County Airport
  • Lake County Executive Airport

Railroad Service

  • CSX
  • Norfolk Southern
  • Passenger train service by Amtrak is available at the downtown Cleveland station
